Aprendizes is an independent, private school in Cascais, Portugal, catering to students aged 3-18. As our vision, "Together, we Educate for Change," indicates, we aspire to make the world a better place and actively engage as local and global citizens. Our approach is student-centred, real-life connected, bilingual, and based on active learning. At Aprendizes, our students can be themselves, and we place equal value on our students' well-being, academics, and engagement.

Our school, located on the outskirts of Cascais, next to the Sintra National Park with a view of the mountains and Guincho Beach, values the connection with nature, reflected in everyday school life through activities and our commitment to sustainability. 

We offer the National Portuguese curriculum from pre-school to 6th grade, with a strong complementation of the English language, and the International Cambridge Curriculum for 7th to 12th grade. With our roots in Portuguese culture, our diverse community currently embraces around 550 students, 130 professionals, and hundreds of families from around 40 nationalities.

We might be a good match if you have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree, a recognized teacher certification and relevant teaching experience to qualify

  • Experience in teaching the relevant curriculum (International Curriculum or Portuguese)

  • Experience in Classroom Management

  • Fluency in the relevant language (English and/or Portuguese)

  • Experience from the world – preferably with experience in teaching in a global context

  • The ability to create strong and caring relationships with students and families

  • Solid digital skills and a curiosity to learn more.
